Overview
Resident Evil 3, also known as Resident Evil 3 Remake, is a 2020 remake of Capcom's Resident Evil 3 from 1999. Developed off the heels of the Resident Evil 2 Remake and using the same engine, it was first announced on Playstation's State of Play stream on December 10, 2019 and released the following April. The game also includes the previously announced Resident Evil: Resistance (formerly Project Resistance) multiplayer mode.
The story follows Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira as they attempt to escape Raccoon City in the midst of a T-Virus outbreak, causing most of the population to regress to mindless zombies. Pursuing them throughout is the Nemesis: a near-indestructible bioweapon engineered by Umbrella Corp.
