Overview
A remake of the original PS2 game released in 2008. Yakuza Kiwami 2 has been rebuilt from the ground up, taking advantage of the brand new Dragon Engine from Yakuza 6, while also building a continuity gap between it and the newly established events from Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1. Graphics have received a massive overhaul, as well as the new seamless open-ended mechanics that allows Kiryu to enter any store, or combat scenarios, without any loading screens. A brand new side story has been added to the game called "The Truth of Majima" meant to explain how Majima came to leave the Tojo Clan after Yakuza 1 and become a construction worker, it also sees the return of Makimura Makoto from Yakuza 0.
