Deborah Rutherford
Biography
Deborah works as a beauty, character and special effects make-up artist in film, television and commercials. In 2013 she won an Emmy for Outstanding Make-up for a Miniseries or a Movie (Non-Prosthetic) for Behind the Candelabra. She has received four Local 706 Guild Awards for "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl", "How The Grinch Stole Christmas","Mad TV" and "Behind The Candelabra". Her interest in art blossomed at age six when her mother enrolled her in a painting class. She studied theater at Loyola Marymount University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. Deborah's beauty, character, and special effects make-up can be seen in "Stop-Loss," where she and her team created a double amputee burned blind American soldier on Victor Rasuk;"Crank 2" which featured an array of gritty character make-up (prosthetic, tattoo, beauty, effects); and "Star Trek Into Darkness". In addition to film & television, Deborah is available for publicity junkets and print.
