Biography
Rohini Molleti (born December 15, 1969), known mononymously as Rohini, is an Indian actress, screenwriter, lyricist, and dubbing artist who works predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema. She began her career as a child artist in Telugu cinema with films such as *Harathi* (1974), *Yashoda Krishna* (1975), and *Bhakta Kannappa* (1976), subsequently transitioning to supporting and character roles in adulthood.
In 1995, she received a National Film Award – Special Mention and the Nandi Special Jury Award for her leading performance in the Telugu drama *Stri*. Her other notable Telugu credits during her early and mid career include *Nyayam Kavali* (1981), *Nalugu Stambhalata* (1982), *Maga Maharaju* (1983), and *Dhruva Nakshatram* (1989). Alongside on-screen performances, she established an extensive career as a voice artist, dubbing for leading actresses in major South Indian productions.
In contemporary Telugu cinema, Rohini became a prominent character actress. Her releases during this period include *Ala Modalaindi* (2011), *Ishq* (2012), the two-part epic *Baahubali: The Beginning* (2015) and *Baahubali 2: The Conclusion* (2017), *Rangasthalam* (2018), *Awe!* (2018), *Ante Sundaraniki* (2022), *Writer Padmabhushan* (2023), and *Bachchala Malli* (2024).
